Fall Mini Sessions | Spaces Limited

Is it really September! Am I really about to tell you that it’s time to start booking for fall? Well, YES! 

What is a mini session? A mini session is a 30-35 minute session, at the location of our choice and at a reduced rate! Mini sessions offer the same perks as a full session. I’m still as silly as ever and I “love, love, love” (if you’ve ever booked with me, you will know what this means) everyone!  The attention to detail is not disregarded; we’re simply limited to the amount of time that we get to hang out!  

Mini sessions are perfect for updated headshots, individual portraits, family portraits (up to 4 people), or “just because!”

The temperament of some children; especially little bitty ones can be ever changing, and to ensure that their essence is captured, you may need more time. I can only capture what they will allow me to capture. At the end of the day, parents you know your children better than I, therefore; you and only you will know if a mini session suits your needs. I’m not trying to discourage anyone from booking a mini; however, I want to lay all of the facts on the table. Fair enough!

Now that we have the basics out of the way, our Fall Mini Sessions will be held at NODA District (36^th street, Charlotte NC). This location is NOT traditional… it’s urban and edgy!  If you’re looking for that non-traditional session, then I encourage you to book immediately, as spaces are limited and sessions are booked on a first come first, serve basis.

The Facts

• Non refundable fee: $275.00 + Tax   (includes session fee) = $294.93. Full amount due at time of booking session. Full payment reserves your preferred date and time
• Session must be booked by 09-26-09 in order to reserve your preferred date and time
• Photographer to show a minimum of 10 images in a private online gallery
• You select 5 images
• Photographer to place your high resolution images on a disk
• Photographer to provide an End User Release Form
• You print as many images as you desire, at the lab of your choice
• Photographer can provide consumer lab suggestions

The Extras:

• You pay $25.00 for each additional image, after 5 have been selected
• You receive a discount on 25, single sided, 5X7 custom-designed holiday cards ($70.00), usually priced at $85.00.  $15.00 savings!   Envelopes included.
• You receive a $5.00 reduction for each set of 25 cards ordered, after initial set has been purchased.  Example: (1^st set $70. 2^nd set $65. 3^rd set $60). Envelopes included. 
• You receive a 10% discount on WALL PRINT enlargements of 16x20 and larger.

The Guidelines:

• Session covers 1-4 people only. For every set of four, an additional booking will be required.
• Fee + tax ($294.93), must be paid by 09-19-09, in order to reserve your date and time slot.
• Sessions are booked on a 1^st come, 1^st serve basis
• Session to take place in the NODA district only
• PLEASE BE ON TIME as tardiness will limit your camera time
• Session dates: 10-17-09 & 10-24-09
• Session times:
  • 9:00-9:45
  • 10:00 - 10:45
  • 11:00 -  11:45
  • 12:00 – 12:45
  •   1:00 – 1:45
• Rain dates (10-18-09 & 10-25-09)
• Session may not be transferred
• Promotion may not be combined with any other promotion
• Fees are non-refundable
• Non-refundable fees may be applied towards a future session
• Rescheduled session to be held within 3 months.

The Incentive for early booking:

·          Book by 09-16-09 and receive  25, single sided 5x7, custom-designed holiday cards.

Vacation | Out of office until 09-01-09

Happy day good people!

The office will be closed from 08-21-09 and will re-open on 09-01-09. We will have limited access to email and voice mails. All inquiries will be responded to when we return.

Trust and believe, this is much needed rest. I have some amazing sessions to post when I return as well.

Lucky me! Lucky me! There must be something in the air, my sessions have been filled with babies, babies and more babies! (Is the Lord trying to tell me something....NOPE!)

Let me quickly bring you up to speed with my world before, I post images of this precious little one!  

On July 16, my brother in law (Rodney) was called home to the Lord. His home going service took place on 07-21-09. Needless to say, that was one of the worse weeks of my life. Sad but true, death will make you put a great deal of things into perspective.

In additional to the homegoing service for Rodney, I had to rush to ER for my mother on 07-22-09. So, here I go with a head full of rollers (just literally got my hair done before I got the call) and a sweat suit. Not sure what to expect, only to learn that she was required to stay overnight for observation and for a heart cat the next day. You see, mom had a heart attack in 2002 and they thought that she was having another, so to be on the safe side, they took all precautionary measures and completed the heart  cat. Thye results were FANTASTIC! NO HEART ATTACK!  Mom is at home and doing just fine. She will return to normal activities tomorrow! Thank you Jesus!

In spite of all that was going on, I managed to sneak in some time to photograph this precious little one, Cailen! OMG! She just melted my heart! She was the cure that I needed during these trying times, Cailen made me smile and I hope that she makes you smile too!

(side note: now keep in mind, I did not ask for "cheese", she just gave that to me!)

Alana " Let me see!" She jumps off the bench, looks at her picture on the back of my camera, then replies: "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"

Booking | Spring & Summer 2009

Hey good people!

I'm still here! I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of some babies! In fact, one was born today! So, you can expect to see some images of her soon enough.

As you all know the weather is turning, wedding season is in full swing and outdoor lifestyle sessions are in full demand! I do encourage you to book your spring | summer session now, to ensure availablity. In fact, I HIGHLY encourage it! My repeat clients will tell you that you are so important to me, that I book a limited number of sessions, to ensure that my time is well spent with YOU and your loved ones. So, again, book your sessions now! 

In fact, any sessions booked between now and 04-05-09 by midnight EST, will receive a $25.00 discount off of the $125.00 non refundable session. That's right, book your session today for $100.00. Sessions to be held between 04-11-09 and 07-01-09.

Y&R Photography will be closed on the following dates. We will have limited acces to email during those times and will return all calls, when we return to the office:
